Ron & Victoria Friedman and members of Vistar returned to Gary Goldberg's studio in Troy, NY, to present the Vistar Method of Communication (VMC), an evolutionary structure for accessing the Field of Collective Consciousness. After a brief description of the Pre-Requisites, 4 Rules and 3 Roles, Gary and guests participated in a Vistar Magic Circle(VMC), LIVE, ON AIR. It was extraordinarily exciting to see how thisair-wave experiment actually attracted "The FIELD"...and participants in studio and listeners were all drawn up by the power and potential of Collective Consciousness. In its April-June 2007 issue, What Is Enlightenment? Magazine features Vistar, Voicepoint and the Vistar Method of Communication (which was at that time called "The Vortex Method" but which is has now been renamed) in an article entitled "Prototyping the Future." We at Vistar are grateful and excited to have such an articulate and clear presentation of what we watched evolve over 13 years.
It describes this evolution, quoting Victoria to say, "We are creating something with and as the creative force. " Beginning with how Vistar has unfolded, and its sources of inspiration, the article also tells how those gathered in Vistar today have as "an unfolding objective to explore and model a spiritual form of community without a guru, accomplished master or unified teaching at its core"....and that "the heart of the Vistar is a process, a format for coming together that has become the community's real teacher."
The Vistar Method of Communication is then explained as a tool at the center of the Vistar happening. VMC is described as "a finely tuned vehicle for eliciting and sustaining the vigor, mystery and discrimination of collective consciousness." WIE writer Carol Ann Raphael continues, explaining how Voicepoint Ensemble fits this context, with "collective creativity in performances that combine music, voice and movement to convey the power and beauty of universal spiritual truths"....with all aspects produced through the VMC.
It also describes how because of this way of working, those in Vistar are increasingly "recognizing they are seeing in new ways, that their perspective on the world and their understanding of the purpose of their work are changing and expanding. It's more now as if they are in service of the Vortex Method.*" Ron is quoted as saying: "The very process itself, this incredible guiding force, the collective force field, demands more".... " a harbinger for what a model of human engagement could be in the future."
