Composer, John Harbison’s “deeply expressive “Mirabai Songs” illumiates the poems of 16thcentury Rajasthani princess Mirabai, an inspiration of women’s courage.
Composer Aaron Jay Kervis, “Simple Songs, builds up a mystical mood through a pair of psalm texts, a prayer of Hildegard of Bingen, a poem by the Japanese writer Ryokan, and soul stirring message of Jellaludin Rumi.
Deborah Lifton, Soprano
Recipient of the Joy in Singing Foundation Award, the 2011 Young Artist Award from the National Federation of Music Clubs, and a winner of the David Adams Song Competition, Soprano Deborah Lifton is emerging as one of today’s most interesting and versatile singers.
